We’re here! We’re staying at a place called The King’s Wardrobe. It’s in a great location, very close to St. Paul’s Cathedral. After some unpacking and a brief rest, Michael and I walked around the neighborhood a bit, stopping first outside St. Paul’s.
Of course, since I was with Michael, we had to go into another nearby church. The afternoon suddenly turned chilly and rainy. Many churches were having open houses today, so we conveniently stopped at one that was open, the Church of St. Vedast alias Foster on Foster Lane. The church is dedicated to a French saint also known as St. Vaast, who died in 539 AD. “Foster” is actually an anglicized version of Vaast. St. Vedast is best known for helping convert Clovis, the Frankish King, to Christianity.
