Sunday’s traditional English breakfast was served in their main dining room. It kept us going all day long!
One of the most unusual sights for us was seeing all of the wild pheasants! They were as common as the squirrels we have at home!
Pheasants are native to Asia, not Europe. The Romans (who else?) introduced the bird to this area. The birds are hunted in many parts of the world, including Great Britain, and land use practices developed to encourage and support the pheasant hunt.
